Sunway Medical Centre is a major healthcare destination within Sunway City. This assignment focused on one clear architectural image: a front elevation that could communicate the building’s scale and presence despite a difficult, heavily obstructed streetscape.

The site constraint

A new BRT station and pedestrian bridge had altered the original view corridor, blocking the façade from street level. The task was not simply to photograph the building, but to find a position that retained its architectural proportion without misrepresenting the site.

Photography perspective

After a site recce, the pedestrian bridge provided the required elevation. A single frame could not contain the full composition cleanly, so the final image was constructed from five carefully aligned exposures. The method allowed the façade to be presented with a coherent perspective while controlling foreground interruptions.

A considered architectural record

Architectural photography often requires more than finding an attractive angle. It requires a response to access, circulation, surrounding infrastructure, and the way a building needs to be understood by its audience. Here, the finished image gives the client a clear, usable record of the medical centre within its urban context.
