Armani Residence Kuala Lumpur by Five Senses | Architectural & Interior Photography
Armani Residence Kuala Lumpur by Five Senses brings together contemporary residential living, hotel-style hospitality and panoramic views of the Kuala Lumpur skyline.

Located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, the residence offers a distinctive urban setting, with views towards some of the city’s most recognisable landmarks, including the Petronas Twin Towers and KL Tower.
For this project, I photographed a selection of the residence’s interior spaces and lifestyle facilities, focusing on the relationship between the architecture, interiors, natural light and the surrounding cityscape.
A Residence Designed Around the Kuala Lumpur Skyline

One of the defining characteristics of the property is its elevated position within Kuala Lumpur.
The extensive glazing allows the city to become part of the interior experience. From the bedrooms and living spaces to the gym and rooftop swimming pool, the skyline is not simply a backdrop — it becomes an important element of the visual identity of the residence.

For architectural photography, this presented an interesting challenge: balancing the interior environment with the constantly changing Kuala Lumpur skyline.
The photography therefore focuses on both the spaces themselves and their relationship with the city outside.
Capturing the Hospitality Experience
Five Senses operates its hospitality experience across selected Armani Group developments, bringing a more hotel-oriented approach to serviced residential living.
At Armani Residence Kuala Lumpur, this can be seen through the combination of furnished apartments, guest-ready bedrooms and lifestyle facilities.

The photography was approached with this hospitality context in mind.
Rather than documenting each room simply as a property listing, the images aim to communicate how the spaces feel — from the warmth of the timber finishes and soft furnishings to the natural light entering through the full-height windows.
The Rooftop Pool and Kuala Lumpur Skyline
The rooftop swimming pool is one of the property’s strongest visual features.
With the Kuala Lumpur skyline extending across the horizon, the pool creates a direct connection between the residential environment and the city.

The Petronas Twin Towers and KL Tower provide strong visual landmarks within the composition, while the reflections in the water add another layer to the image.
For this type of hospitality photography, timing becomes particularly important. The quality of the sky, direction of light and relationship between the architecture and skyline can completely change the character of the photograph.
Fitness Facilities With a View
The gym continues the same relationship between interior and city.
The extensive glazing creates a bright, open environment while providing an uninterrupted view towards central Kuala Lumpur.

Rather than photographing the equipment individually, the composition emphasises repetition, perspective and the relationship between the gym and the skyline.
This approach helps communicate the scale and experience of the facility while keeping the architecture at the centre of the image.
Interior Photography With Natural Light
The residential interiors use a restrained palette of timber, neutral fabrics and warm lighting.
In the bedrooms and living areas, I focused on maintaining the natural atmosphere of the spaces rather than heavily stylising them.

The large windows also create a strong contrast between the interior and the bright Kuala Lumpur skyline. Careful exposure and post-production are therefore important to retain detail both inside the room and outside the windows.
The result is a series of images that presents the residence as both a living environment and a hospitality experience.

Architectural Photography for Hospitality and Residential Projects
Photographing a serviced residence requires a different approach from conventional real estate photography.
The objective is not simply to show how much space there is.
The images need to communicate the atmosphere, design, views, amenities and overall experience of staying in the property.

For Armani Residence Kuala Lumpur by Five Senses, the photography therefore combines:
- Interior architecture
- Residential spaces
- Hospitality details
- Lifestyle facilities
- Rooftop swimming pool
- Fitness facilities
- Kuala Lumpur skyline views
- Natural-light interior photography
This creates a visual library that can be used across websites, booking platforms, marketing materials, social media and property communications.

This project was photographed by WeiLoke Photography, a Kuala Lumpur-based commercial architectural photographer specialising in architecture, interiors, hospitality and branded spaces.
My approach focuses on more than simply documenting a space. The objective is to translate the design and experience of a property into images that communicate its value.
For hospitality and residential developments, strong photography can help potential guests and buyers understand not only what a space looks like, but what it feels like to experience it.
